Are you 100% sure your boat hasn't been painted before?

My dad had an older Viking that was in bad need of a paint job and when the paint imron hull paint failed it looked very much like that.

Thanks for the reply.

The previous owner was the original owner. He never mentioned having the boat painted. I’ve known the condition of it for approx. 10yrs.
That spot is basically confined to that area where that rust stain is.
