With the title of the thread .. is your boat painted or gel coat? If painted that was done at some point after production. If paint you'll have to get color charts from Awl Grip, Imron, Easypoxy, etc. to figure out what paint is on the boat.

I cannot help with a gel coat color code, but Albin had referred to my gel coat topsides as Oyster as well and I had a can leftover from the build with oyster written on the lid. Like yours, it went bad. When replacing a windlass the hole pattern was different and a repair was in order. My local fiberglass / gel coat guy matched it perfectly. No matter the light I could not see where the repair was made. I think the key is to get a "good" fiberglass guy to come to the boat and mix some gel coat for you or just have them do the repair.

How about 2000 blue hull gel coat color. Anyone have a source for this gel coat?
I have oyster top sides. Rob posted a color from spectrum color.com Century new white F550725k. I have not tried it yet. Waiting for warmer weather.

J - Rob's / your boat have very different topside color than my 28. you're more of a white - white with gray non- skid. Rob and I had a good discussion about this at an Essex, CT Rendezvous one year.

I'm pretty sure that color is more of a bright white as on your boat and not the tan / super light beige that Albin termed "Oyster" as posted in the interior shot of the topsides of my 28 posted above. My 31 has the same white as your boat and "oyster" non-skid.

Your best bet on color matching is to contact Ken Hilton at Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton, RI. Kenny is the ace in the hole Albin resource for everything Albin. I'm sure that his yard can mix and ship.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on finding the color code. It’s gonna be a matter of someone matching it or awlgrip the boat

As you can see, there seems to be a common trend on responses. If you are looking for an exact color match, it is not going to happen, not on 20 year old gelcoat. Your best bet is going to be getting a local repair guy on board. Your marina should have someone they can recommend

I used this to match my white topside on my 2006 28 flush deck.
It was an excellent match.

Must Fish. (and btw, WELCOME to AOG) Did you finish this project yet? Curious minds need to know.

Carl, that looks very interesting. Where did you snag that?
