36 & 40 Double Cabins

Post by PenBayCruiser »

I'm finding most Albin 36 & 40 double cabin trawler for sale are located 300+ miles away from southern Maine. I'd like to get my wife aboard each of these trawlers before looking more than a couple of hours away. Are there any owners who would be willing to share their boat and experiences for a half hour or so within a 2 hour or so ride of Portland? Thanks!

I am willing, however, unfortunately for you my boat (1983 40 ft trunk cabin) is currently located in Portland, Ct. which is a little more than 2 hours. I will be there this weekend on saturday doing some work inside the shrink wrap.

Yes, the 36' in Eastport. That's about a 4 hour drive so I was hoping to find something closer for a preliminary look, but thanks.

An array of boats;
1977 Schucker 436 in Mystic
1981 Litton 36 Double Cabin in Clinton
1985 Marine Trader 36 Sedan in Chester
1972 Gulstar 36' in Portland (familiar with this boat? may be in the same yard as your boat)

Hope to be at the Portland around noon.

See how my time goes!
